Use CertiRide independently
A household is not required. Independent Users can manage their own supported protected-app settings and can choose to create or join a household later.
CertiRide can be used independently or as part of a household. Household Controls support family safety management while keeping the system focused on driving behavior rather than general-purpose surveillance.
A household is not required. Independent Users can manage their own supported protected-app settings and can choose to create or join a household later.
A CertiRide user can create a household and become its Household Owner, or join an existing household using a one-time invitation code. One-time enrollment avoids leaving a permanent household join code active.
Household Owners manage CertiRide relationships and can establish protected-app policies for Managed Drivers. Owners can choose which supported apps or app categories CertiRide restricts while Driving Mode is active.
Managed Drivers can view the protected-app policy applied to their account, but they cannot change owner-controlled restrictions themselves. This keeps the policy transparent without providing an easy bypass.
Household Owners can configure supported categories such as web browsers and email apps, along with supported messaging, social-media, search, video, and other distracting applications.
Household Owners can review recorded attempts to access protected apps while driving restrictions are active. The history can include the user, friendly app name, time, and driving-related information associated with the attempt.
CertiRide is designed around driving safety, not surveillance. Household controls are not intended to provide message contents, email contents, web-browsing contents, social-media conversations, passwords, authentication credentials, or other private communications.
CertiRide is a driver-distraction reduction aid. It is not a substitute for attentive driving, responsible device use, or compliance with applicable traffic laws.
