Automatic driving protection
CertiRide monitors driving-related conditions and is designed to activate Driving Mode automatically when the configured driving threshold is reached. Selected protected apps are then restricted without requiring the user to remember to start a special mode before every trip.
Protect distracting app categories
CertiRide can restrict supported web browsers, text messaging, email apps, social media, video and entertainment apps, Google Search, and other selected apps. Available protections depend on the user’s configuration and, for a Managed Driver, the policy established by the Household Owner.
Already-open apps are still protected
If a protected app is already on screen when Driving Mode activates, CertiRide is designed to enforce the applicable restriction rather than allowing continued interaction simply because the app was opened before the vehicle began moving.
Designed for real driving
Stopping briefly does not necessarily mean a trip is over. CertiRide uses a short stop delay before releasing driving restrictions, helping avoid immediate access to protected apps during temporary stops such as traffic lights or stop-and-go traffic.
Hands-free functionality
CertiRide is designed to preserve appropriate hands-free voice-assistant functionality while still restricting ordinary interactive Google Search. The goal is to reduce visual and manual distraction without unnecessarily interfering with hands-free use.
Normal access returns automatically
When CertiRide determines that driving conditions have ended and the applicable stop period has passed, normal access to protected apps is restored automatically.
Built for safety, not inconvenience.
CertiRide is a driver-distraction reduction aid. It is not a substitute for attentive driving, responsible device use, or compliance with applicable traffic laws.
